Good value at sale price; not as robust as Screenflow
I’ve made hundreds of computer-based training videos and I was intrigued when I read about Screenium. I’ve never heard of this product before, so not sure what versions 1.0 and 2.0 are like, but I consider this an “entry-level+” kind of product. There are some interesting “advanced features”, but for the most part it’s pretty basic. If you’re looking for a relatively simply, relatively powerful tool at a good price point, this is probably a good move. If you’re looking to buy a more professional tool, go with Screenflow (or perhaps ScreenFlow + Final Cut and perhaps Motion). At $25 (the sale price), it’s a good deal… at $50, I’m not sure unless more substantial features are made over time.
All in all a good effort that appropriately fills a certain price point.
